Ichinoseki City Museum

Get to know the history, local features and the great achievements of highly renowned predecessors of Ichinoseki. The main exhibitions include the regional history of Ichinoseki, Otsuki Gentaku and Dutch learning, Otsuki Fumihiko and the Genkai Japanese Dictionary, Ichinoseki and Wasan traditional Japanese maths, and the Mokusa Sword and Japanese Sword.

English materials are limited but available in the form of a brochure which is handed out at the museum. In addition, the Tourism Information Center situated outside of the west exit of Ichinoseki Station rents audio touch pen guides which have information on a wide range of Ichinoseki attractions also including the the main exhibits of the museum (many languages available). Please keep in mind that this museum is about a 20 minute bus ride from Ichinoseki Station, although is close to attractions such as Genbikei, Sahara Glass Park and Genbikei Roadside Station.
